Remote Sensing

Archive data selection means the shooting area of interest with the certain parameters; the operator can provide it at short notice.

If you have chosen the territory you can send us the boundaries of the AOI in a vector file in one of standard formats (e.g. shp, tab, kml, kmz WGS-84 coordinate system) or the coordinates. We will find the appropriate data for your AIO, send you schemes, shp file coverage and quick-looks (resample images) as well as we calculate the price of archive data and make a proposal for tasking.

More detailed information about the images and the order specifications you can find out in the section Remote Sensing.

For more detailed information about satellite images for AOI, as well as other order terms, please contact SOVZOND Customer Service by e-mail, or by tel.: + 7 (495) 642-88-70, 988-75-11. You can also fill in the order form on the website or send your request by fax +7 (495) 988-75-33

You can check the availability of the archive data for AIO in the link For the time being you can find images from “Resurs-DK1”, “Monitor-E”, “Resurs-F” (Russia) QuickBird, WorldView-1, WorldView-2, GeoEye, IKONOS (USA), TerraSAR-X, RapidEye (Germany), ALOS (Japan), Pleiades-1A, B (France), TH-1 (China), Deimos -1 (Spain) for AOI.

Satellite imagery application meets the challenges of monitoring. SOVZOND Company takes orders for tasking which is carried out by satellites with different spatial resolution and the appropriate characteristics.

SOVZOND Company negotiates with operators about reserving satellite telemetry to provide the tasking regardless of the competition in the latitude of the Earth surface to implement projects successfully and increase the priority of tasking.

There are different requirements for tasking (i.e. the execution time, cloudiness, inclination angels etc.) and the geometry of the area of interest (AOI).The data are delivered during 1-3 days after the shooting. The terms of the imagery are agreed with the operator in advance. During the tasking the client is provided with electronic reports about the shooting attempts. Upon approval by the customer we can involve alternative satellites to speed up the tasking.

If the weather conditions are inappropriate for imagery at the hours when satellites are shooting, the company is obliged to submit a certificate from the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (Roshydromet) with a detailed climate conditions confirmation in the area of interest (AOI).

If the weather conditions are really bad and it is impossible to task on the deadline, new terms of order implementation are agreed with the customer.

For more detailed information about the tasking implementation of your AOI, please contact SOVZOND customer department by e-mail or by phone +7 (495) 642-88-70, 988-75-11 . You can also fill in the order form on the website or send your request by fax +7 (495) 988-75-33.

The satellite imagery application is regulated by End-User License Agreement (EULA).

End-User License Agreement is signed with a Customer to order remote sensing data; the Customer's rights for data application are described in EULA. A customer recognizes and agrees to accept the terms of the End-User License Agreement. The Licensor (satellite operators) reserves all the exclusive rights to the Services derived from remote sensing data, the results of intellectual activity and other materials. If the satellite images are assumed to be placed on the external, public website with an open access or internal geoportal with the access for employees, you have to get a preliminary approval and an additional operator license. All products and Derivatives must contain the following copyright notice conspicuously displayed in connection with the Products and Derivative Work: “Includes material © COPYRIGHT, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED”.

End-User License Agreement does not extend to Derivatives generated on the base of satellite images, that are do not include the original pixel structure of the image (the results of thematic processing, electronic vector maps, charts, plans, etc.).

SOVZOND Company ensures that all provided services are legitimate on the basis of distribution agreements with the owners and there is no infringement of their copyrights and exclusive rights.

The term of satellite image application is not limited to the validity of a contract for remote sensing data delivery.

All your questions about remote sensing imagery application can be sent to the experts of the company by e-mail:, or by phone.
